The current COVID-19 pandemic has affected everyone in some shape or form. With social distancing practice now in place across the U.S., and some of our patients having to completely self-isolate in their homes, face-to-face audiology appointments have naturally become more difficult for some.

Here at Aim Hearing & Audiology, we acted quickly in adapting our services to match the current challenges faced by our dear patients. And so, we are excited to introduce to you “Tele Audiology” – a service that provides the same advanced hearing care that we’ve always provided, only using face-to-face video calling.

These informative 15-minute appointments with your audiologist can be carried out using a smartphone, tablet, or computer and are perfect for anyone in need of professional hearing help who is unable to get to our office in Greensboro.

What is Tele Audiology?

Tele Audiology is a new type of hearing care appointment that allows you to have a face-to-face consultation with a doctor of audiology from the comfort of your home or office.

So, rather than having to get yourself ready, travel across town, sit in a waiting room, and physically see your audiologist in-office, we’ll conveniently “pop-up” on screen and have a face-to-face consultation through your cell, tablet, or computer.

This new convenient service will not only save you time and hassle by not having to travel, but it also means you’re safe at home while still receiving the advanced level of audiologist care you always have.

The best part is, with much of today’s hearing aid technology featuring built-in remote programming capabilities, we’re often able to diagnose problems, change program settings, and make adjustments to your hearing aids remotely, too.
