Imagine wow-ing your coworkers with quick replies in meetings online, or having a quick call to go over directions and understanding them on the first listen… seems almost too good to be true, right?

How to Use Hearing Aids During Conference Calls

by | Jul 12, 2024 | Hearing Aids, Patient Resources

Hearing aids and hearing assistive technology aren’t just for helping your ears; studies have proven that hearing care can help you retain cognitive function, perform better at work, and even help you live longer.

If you’re reading this, perhaps you’re one of those hardworking professionals looking for a boost to your productivity during the workday. Many jobs (aside from ours!) are hybrid or work-from-home positions now: good hearing during conference calls is crucial to doing your job well.

A question that we get quite often in office is “How can I use my hearing aids during conference calls?”

You’ll be relieved to know it’s much easier than it seems.

How Do I Connect My Hearing Aids to My Computer?

These days, almost all advanced prescription hearing aids come with Bluetooth connectivity, so linking your devices to your phone or computer is remarkably seamless. You’ll be able to hear your conference calls and meetings directly in your ears from the speakers in your hearing aids.

Bluetooth connectivity for your hearing aids is very simple: follow the on-screen Bluetooth directions to connect your devices. Each device is slightly different in how they connect, but it’s usually very easy. (For assistance with this, you can ask your tech-savvy relative—or contact us for help!)

How Can Hearing Aids Help Me at Work?

Hearing aids may be attached to negative stigmas around aging, but nowadays, more and more professionals in the workforce are seeing the benefits of hearing care on their productivity.

Nobody’s jumping at the chance to get their first pair of hearing aids, but the pros far outweigh the alleged cons. The negative stigmas around getting older and needing hearing aids are changing: more young people are wearing hearing aids these days, and protecting hearing has become much more of a concern for younger generations, especially those in the workforce.

Imagine wow-ing your coworkers with quick replies in meetings online, or having a quick call to go over directions and understanding them on the first listen… seems almost too good to be true, right?

Staying connected in meetings, retaining information for tasks, and keeping up high productivity levels: all possible with your hearing aids connected to your device of choice for work.
