If you wear a hearing aid, you’ll know that they make a world of difference. But occasionally, you might feel you need some extra clarity.
A hearing loop is something that can be very effective.
These are placed in large public buildings, where they transmit the sounds from PA speakers straight to your devices.
They’re particularly valuable in big auditoriums, where it can be hard to hear due to echoes and distortions.
They also cut down on background noises, so if there’s music playing nearby, you can still pick up the main speaker’s voice.
We’ve put together a list of places local to Greensboro where you can take advantage of this brilliant technology, but it’s a work in progress.
If you know any other community centers, facilities, or places of worship that have hearing loops, call or write to us about them. The team is actively looking to increase the directory!
