Love Local: A Taste Of Peruvian Culture At Embur Fire Fusion

by | Mar 28, 2022 | Love Local, Patient Resources

When I first opened up Aim Hearing & Audiology Services, I had two goals in mind.

  • Create a successful clinic that residents in North Carolina turn to.
  • Create a team of staff that are compassionate, driven, and proud to work with us.

With my staff the driving force behind the clinic, creating a positive work culture is extremely important to me. That’s why we have decided to incorporate a new way to give back to our employees by taking them out for their birthday. It allows us to spend some time getting to know them personally and take some time to relax outside of the clinic.

This March, we celebrated Liz’s birthday, and we had a wonderful time!

The locally-owned restaurant is called Embur Fire Fusion and it offers Peruvian and Italian dishes all crafted by head chef, Jorge Castillo, and his team. We ate, talked, and laughed with Liz and her mom. It was a great evening and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Liz and her family.

Liz’s Recommendation To You

During dinner, Liz recommended all types of Peruvian foods for us to try.

Drinks-wise, we started with a very popular drink in Peru called the Pisco Sour. This is essentially a mix of brandy, lemon juice, and egg white – it sounds strange, but it is delicious.

Then, we moved on to the empanadas as an appetizer, which is a baked pastry stuffed with ground beef, pico, and herbs. For the main, we had the Lomo Saltado, which is a mix of filet mignon, tomatoes, onions, fries, and white rice.

And we couldn’t leave without a dessert, so we finished with three desserts, flan, alfajores, and milhojas.

I also recommend that you try the Inca Cola and chicha-morada!

Next time you’re in the area, check out Embur Fire Fusion and let us know what you order.

How You Can Contribute to “Love for Local”?

Fortunately, we have so many wonderful local businesses on our doorstep in Northern Carolina. Take the time this month to visit somewhere local in the community and show your appreciation.
