Throughout all of this, the amazing people that commit their lives to enhancing ours have not received the recognition they truly deserve.

Love Local: Why We Hand-Delivered Cookies to 70+ of the Most Deserving People/Businesses in Greensboro

by | Mar 4, 2022 | Love Local, Patient Resources

The past two years have been extremely challenging.

  • Small independent businesses have been hit with challenges, curveballs, and constantly moving goalposts
  • Local organizations have had to deal with more strain and pressure than ever before
  • And our local police and fire departments have had to continue to keep us safe while working around new challenges.

Yet throughout all of this, the amazing people that commit their lives to enhancing ours have not received the recognition they truly deserve.

That’s why we wanted to do something special as part of our first annual “Love for Local” celebration.

We purchased 50 large tins of scrumptious butter pecan cookies (they are the tastiest cookies in the world!), and we attached a small message of appreciation to these incredible businesses, organizations, and people.

The message shared how they have been recognized as somebody that deserves recognition through our “Love Local” celebration.

The cookies are a token of appreciation on behalf of ourselves and the thousands of local people that appreciate all they do.

Our team then hit the road to hand deliver the cookies and cards, and it became one of the most incredible experiences we have ever been a part of!

It was two weeks of smiles, feel-good moments, and most importantly, lots of love being shared throughout our wonderful community.
