As North Carolina’s most trusted hearing & audiology professionals, Aim Hearing and Audiology Services are taking preventative measures to ensure that patients’ health and welfare are the number one priority during the challenges presented by COVID-19.

While closely monitoring the CDC’s recommendations, a four-step plan has been developed to ensure your safety.

Current face mask requirements: The CDC currently states that face masks are required in several healthcare settings, so we kindly ask all patients and visitors to wear a mask for the duration of their visit to Aim Audiology & Hearing Services.

#1 – Please Ensure You’re In Good Health

In the same way that our teams’ health is being monitored daily through temperature checks and routine hand sanitation, you are kindly asked to reschedule your appointment if you have had a fever or cough or have traveled out of the country during the past two weeks.

Free COVID-19 Tests

If you need to get your hands on a test, you are eligible to order four free at-home tests from – simply enter your address details, and one will be on its way. Shipping charges do not apply.

#2 – Hand Sanitizer On Arrival

All patients must use the provided hand sanitizer as soon as they enter the office.

#3 – Thorough Cleaning Between Appointments

Additional time has been scheduled to thoroughly clean all surfaces between appointments and ensure each patient enters a sterile environment.

#4 – Purified Air

Since the virus outbreak, my team and I have continually developed new ways to ensure we create the safest environment for you, other patients, and our staff.

At Aim Hearing And Audiology Services, we now have a total of seven air purifiers throughout the office to ensure we not only follow the CDC government guidelines but go above and beyond.

We have five Aerus Pure And Clean Air Purifiers – one in each provider room, including check-in and check-out.


  • HEPA screen and Activated Carbon
  • Proven to reduce up to 99.9& of SARS-CoV-2 in the air within 3 minutes
  • Coverage up to 2,000 sq. ft

We also have two Beyond Guardian Air purifiers. Although one of these purifiers is recommended, we have two of them at our office as an additional precautionary step. They’ve been labeled “the most powerful air and surface purification system ever discovered.”

#5 – Minimum Company for Appointments

You’re kindly asked to bring a maximum of one person with you for your appointment.

Dr. Shannon Frymark Au.D., CCC-A

Shannon Frymark, Au.D., CCC-A, audiologist, was raised in Greensboro, NC. Dr. Shannon’s passion for the field of audiology stems from personal experience. Born with a hearing loss in both ears, she has worn hearing aids since age 3. She is considered a technology expert because of her experience with so many different hearing aids and assistive listening devices throughout the years.She received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and Master of Arts degree in Audiology from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. She was awarded her doctorate in Audiology from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry: School of Audiology. While in undergraduate and graduate school, she worked at the Central School for the Deaf as a residential counselor. Dr. Frymark spent the first five years of her audiology career with Florida Hospital in central Florida.
