Patient Care Coordinator
Shannen-Michel grew up in Greensboro and attended Winston Salem State University. As our patient care coordinator, Shannen-Michel is likely to be one of the first team members you’ll see when you visit us, and you can count on her warm, friendly welcome upon your arrival.
A typical workday for Shannen-Michel consists of numerous responsibilities that are essential to keeping the office running smoothly. Her role includes confidentially managing patient accounts, scheduling patient visits, answering pre-visit questions — including billing and insurance coverage inquiries — and ensuring exceptional customer service.
While Shannen-Michel loves the variety each day brings, she says her favorite thing about being a part of the Aim Hearing and Audiology Services team is that she can integrate her own personal missions into the company’s mission. She particularly likes how she can “bring myself to work” and how her gifts are appreciated by the team and the patients.
One standout moment for Shannen-Michel was when she was given the chance to represent our office in the Better Business Bureau Torch Awards for Ethics. She was thrilled to partake in this wonderful opportunity to share the importance of hearing healthcare with a younger generation.
She notes it was also an awesome way to reflect on the outstanding practices that make our practice stand out among other businesses in the area. Being able to utilize her gift of public speaking to contribute to our office winning the highest honor that the BBB can bestow on an organization was a fulfilling experience that Shannen-Michel will never forget.
