Shannon was born in Florida and grew up in Greensboro, NC. She graduated from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro with both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees before attending Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology where she graduated with her clinical doctorate.
Shannon’s passion for the field of audiology stems from personal experience. Born with a hearing loss in both ears, she has worn hearing aids since age 3. She is considered a technology expert because of her experience with so many different hearing aids and assistive listening devices throughout the years.
Shannon was recently honored with the prestigious Audigy Provider of Distinction Award, recognizing her exceptional growth and visionary leadership in the field of audiology. This accolade underscores her commitment to delivering outstanding patient care and advancing the practice through innovative approaches.
When not in the office, Shannon loves spending time with her fur babies. She enjoys introducing her pups to various activities such as agility training. Shannon also likes to play cards (hand and foot is a fav!), take walks — especially night time star gazing – and share some quiet time with her family.
